BEREA, Ohio – The Adrian College men's tennis team fell in their opening-match of the season to Baldwin-Wallace 9-0.
Junior Anthony Honeywell had the best showing of the night for the Bulldogs as he fell 6-4, 6-0 in the number four singles match. Junior Alex Ziajor also hung close with this opponent in the number six singles falling 6-2, 6-2. Seniors Chris Ludwig and David Blaker were both swept 6-0, 6-0, in the first and second singles matches respectively. Sophomore Cameron Hamilton fell 6-1, 6-1 in the third singles while freshman Nick Petrucci lost 6-1, 6-1 in his first collegiate match in the number five singles match.
In doubles action, Ludwig and Cameron fell 8-2 in the number one match. Senior Dominic Merollis and Honeywell were defeated 8-1 in the second doubles match while Petrucci and Ziajor fell 8-2 in the third doubles match.
The Bulldogs will travel to Berry College on March 1 for a 2:00 p.m. match.
