GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College men's tennis team dropped to 0-3 to start the season as they fell 9-0 to Davenport University.
Anthony Honeywell put up the biggest fight for the Bulldogs in the #4 singles match as he fell 6-4, 6-1. In the top two single matches, Chris Ludwig and David Blaker were each swept 6-0, 6-0. Cameron Hamilton fell in the third singles 6-1, 6-0 while Nick Petrucci lost the #5 singles 6-1, 6-1. Alex Ziajor put up a good fight in the sixth singles with a 6-2, 6-2 loss.
Ludwig and Hamilton fell in the top doubles match 8-2 while Petrucci and Ziajor also fell in the third doubles match by the same score. In the other doubles match, Honeywell and Dominic Merollis were defeated 8-1.
The Bulldogs will look to rebound when they travel to Case Western Reserve on March 18 at 3:0 pm.
