CLEVELAND – The Adrian College men's tennis team fell 9-0 to the #21 Case Western Reserve. The Bulldogs are now 0-4 to start the season.
Alex Ziajor put up the toughest match of the day as he fell 6-2, 6-2 in the fifth singles. Ziajor and Nick Petrucci also put up the closest match on the doubles side, as they dropped their match 8-2 in the third pairings.
David Blaker and Anthony Honeywell were both shutout 6-0, 6-0 in the first and third singles matches respectively. Cameron Hamilton was swept 6-1, 6-1 in the number two singles. Petrucci in the fourth pairing and Dominic Merollis in the sixth singles match, each dropped their matches 6-0, 6-1.
In the other doubles matches, Blaker and Hamilton fell 8-1 in the first pairing while Honeywell and Merollis fell by the same score in the number two doubles match.
Adrian will look to get their first win of the season when they travel to St. Joseph (IN), an NCAA Division II school, on March 20 for an 11:00 am match.
