ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's tennis team fell to MIAA opponent Trine University 8-1. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-10 on the season and 0-3 in the conference.
Alex Ziajor got the lone with for the Bulldogs in the number six singles as he won 6-2, 7-5. Nick Petrucci took his fifth singles match to three games as he fell 2-6, 6-0, 6-0. Cameron Hamilton in the third singles and Anthony Honeywell in the fourth pairings both had close matches as they fell 6-3, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-4 respectively. Chris Ludwig dropped the number one singles match 6-2, 6-2, while David Blaker fell in the second singles pairings 6-1, 6-2.
All three of the doubles matches were tightly contested. Blacker and Hamilton fell 8-6 in the top pairings. Honeywell and Ludwig dropped their second doubles match by the same score of 8-6. Petrucci and Ziajor fell 8-5 in third doubles.
Adrian will host Grace Bible on April 15 at 2:00 pm.
