GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season as they dropped a 9-0 match to Calvin College on Thursday afternoon to go to 1-12 overall and 0-6 in the MIAA.
The Knights took a 3-0 lead after three doubles matches. The Bulldogs took four games during the three matches as Chris Ludwig and Dominic Merollis had the closest match as they fell in the second doubles match 8-2.
The Bulldogs dropped all six of singles matches in straight sets to the Knights. Alex Ziajor did force a second set tie-breaker in his fifth singles match as he fell 6-0, 7-5. Cameron Hamilton was the only other Adrian player to take more than one set from a Calvin player as he dropped his third singles match 6-2, 6-2.
The next match for the Bulldogs will come in the MIAA tournament which is set to being on April 29 at Albion College.
