PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Adrian College women's volleyball team competed in the opening round of the Carnegie Mellon Quad Tournament and lost to host Carnegie Mellon University 3-0 on Friday, September 16. The Lady Bulldogs drop to 1-8 overall, while the Tartans improve to 6-5.

Adrian fought hard to the very last point in each set, but were unable to clinch a win as it lost 25-19, 25-19, and 25-22.

Elise Mindick and Roxanne Duran led the Adrian offense with six kills each. Katie Weber followed with five.

Kristy DeClercq had a team-high 13 assists, while Kristi Walker accumulated a game-high 24 digs for the defense.

The Lady Bulldogs will continue action in the quad tournament on Saturday, September 17, at 1:00 p.m. against Westminster (Pa.) and against John Carroll at 3:00 p.m.
