Dogs Dice Manchester For the Win

ADRIAN, Mich. - It was a 8-1 victory for the Adrian Bulldogs Men's Tennis team as they earned their first win of the season over Manchester. The Bulldogs won all three doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles play.

All three doubles matches were won by the same score, 8-3. Ryan Delacey and Cameron Hamilton beat the Manchester team of Peiro Ridoutt and Phil Truitt in the number one doubles match, giving the two momentum going into their singles matches. The doubles team of Alex Ziajor and Alex Holdren won their match, with the Ron Hilliard/Jared Edwards pair also getting a victory.

"Coming out strong in doubles was big in gaining the momentum," Head Tennis Coach Adam Albertsen said. "I was really proud of our effort and the way we played today from top to bottom in the lineup."

Delacey, the number one player for Adrian, had a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) victory over Ridoutt as the top players for both teams battled it out. Overall on the singles side, Hamilton, Ziajor, Holdren, and Hilliard were also victorious.

"It is great to get that first win of the year, the team has been practicing hard and it really showed in today's match," Albertsen said.

The Bulldogs get the weekend off but will have another home match next week, as Bluffton will travel to Adrian on March 13th at 3:30 pm.
