ALMA, Mich. - The men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at Alma College on Wednesday. Jordan Verbauwhede had a victory at No. 1 singles and doubles for the Bulldogs. He and teammate Michael Mertz defeated Logan Beard and Trent Pontious, 8-4, and then he defeated Joshua Gove, 6-2, 6-7, 7-5 in a thrilling match.

Adrian posted its third point of the afternoon at No. 3 singles as Mertz disposed of Pontious, 6-1, 6-0 in straight sets. The Bulldogs also had some close calls in this matchup against the Scots. Alex Amos went three sets at No. 4 singles and Spencer Georgetti at No. 6 singles also went three sets. Georgetti and Ryan Delacy went down 9-8 at No. 3 doubles in a match that hinged on just a few points here and there.
