KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The depth of the women's soccer team was evident on Saturday afternoon at Kalamazoo College as four different players scored in a 4-0 decision over the Hornets to improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). The Bulldogs scored three times before halftime and added another in the second half en route to the victory.

Adrian edged the Hornets 18-9 in total shots and 12-4 in shots on goal. Junior Erin Weide scored her eighth goal of the season at the 32:18 mark unassisted on a shot in low far corner off of a rebound to give AC a 1-0 lead. Senior Alanna Chambry notched her third goal of the season and third in the last three games at 39:26 unassisted also off a rebound to give AC a 2-0 lead. Senior Sam Barker's eighth of the season came at 42:41 and she now has scored in three straight matches. Chambry also had an assist on a cross from inside the six-yard box.

Adrian continued to control the pace in the second half and added to their lead at the 66:14 mark as freshman Taylor Miller scored her first collegiate goal unassisted on a chip shot from 15 yards out. Barker led the team with five shots on net and sophomore Lexi Lewandowski got the win in net making four saves in the shutout.

"That's a great start to a stretch of tough MIAA matches," said head coach Ali Alamdari. "Kalamazoo is a rival that we've had mixed results against over the past few years, so a comfortable win was a nice change. Even though we were on the road today, I'm sure our alums will appreciate the performance for their Homecoming."
