Bulldogs Give Up Two Second Half Goals Fall to Alma 3-1

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team surrendered two goals in the second half to Alma in a 3-1 defeat on Tuesday night at Docking Stadium. The Bulldog's Sophia Farah scored Adrian's lone goal in the 24th minute of the match on a penalty kick. The goal was the first at home for the Bulldogs this season and the first in the last seven games.

Less than two minutes after the successful penalty kick the Scots evened the score when Megan Kalanik scored off a pass from teammate Allison Smith tying the game at 1-1. The score would remain tied through halftime.

Alma'a second goal was scored by Macayla Greiner off a pass from Allison Smith, her second assist of the match. The Scots would keep add one more goal later in the half resulting in the 3-1 final score.

Alma just edged Adrian in shots 16-11 and shots on goal 6-3. The Bulldogs played aggressively on offense most of the match and had chances to even the score, but couldn't capitalize.

The Bulldogs get the next eight days off before they travel to Grand Rapids to face Calvin on October 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
