ANGOLA, Ind.--The Adrian College men's wrestling program participated in the Trine Invitational today and saw strong performances from individual wrestlers in six weight classes on its way to a second-place finish in the nine-team event.

Adrian would finish with 90.5 team points to beat out University of Chicago (86) for second place. But no one could catch Alma College as they finished the day with 165.5 points to win the tournament.

The Bulldogs would see a wrestler in the championship match of six different weight classes, on their way to having seven wrestlers place on the day.

Two Bulldogs would come out on top of their weight classes. Joe Dombroski won the 133 weight class with a technical fall victory (20-2) over Evan Hoshaw of Olivet College. Daniel Shear won the 149 weight class by defeating Adam Kehr of Muskegon Community College with a 4-2 decision.

Adrian would see four other wrestlers come up just shy of winning their weight classes. Trenton Roesly (141), Don Mandell (165), Tristen Nevadowski (174), and James Davis (184) each finished second in their respective weight classes. Austin Eldred was the final Bulldog to place finishing fourth in the 133 weight class.

The Bulldogs will take the mat again when they travel to nationally-ranked Wabash College this Wednesday, November 18, at 7 p.m.
