ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs scored two second-half goals to pull away from Trine and earn a 2-0 victory on a rainy and cold Wednesday night at Docking Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half: Adrian 0, Trine 0

• Adrian set the pace in the first half, outshooting Trine 10-3. Both teams had two shots on goal. However, the Bulldogs had the better chances to score.

• Caroline Fleming had the best scoring chance in the first half. She received the ball on the far side of the box and kicked it across the net, beating the goalkeeper, but the ball bounced off the near post, denying the Adrian goal.

• The Bulldog's other chance came off a free kick from the far right wing by Sophia Farah that went just wide left of the post.

Second Half: Adrian 2, Trine 0

• Carlin O'Malley scored her first goal of the season in the 57th minute to put Adrian up 1-0. Kirsten Chambers crossed the ball into the box toward a streaking O'Malley who put the ball off the goalkeeper and into the net.

• Farah would put the ball away on a free kick in the 73rd minute to double the Bulldog lead, 2-0.

• Adrian outshot Trine 10-3 (9-6 shots on goal) for the game.

TOP DOGS

• O'Malley and Farah each scored a goal for the Bulldogs.

• Caroline Fleming had a game-high three shots on goal. Farah and O'Malley each recorded two shots on goal.

• Adrian goalkeeper Haley Barnes (W, 5-8) saved all six shots on goal she faced.

THE OPPOSITION

• Marisa Robinett had a team-high two shots on goal. Four other Trine players had one shot on goal.

• Starting goalkeeper Kristina Veljovic (L, 4-9-1) saved six of the eight shots on goal she faced. Khrystyna Thompson made one save in net off the bench.

UP NEXT

• The Bulldogs will host St. Mary's on Saturday at noon for "Senior Day." The game will conclude the home games for the regular season.
