Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. – The Adrian College softball team earned its first win of the season by beating Centre College 9-8 on Sunday afternoon.

ADRIAN BATTING
• Adrian used a six run fourth inning to propel them to the victory
• K'ya Toles-Burton and Jessica Palumbo had two hits each
• Palumbo recorded two RBIs for the game
• Toles-Burton, Morgan Brandt, Karissa DeVore and Casey Cribbs all tallied one RBI as well
• Eight Bulldog players had at least one hit for the game
ADRIAN PITCHING
• Kelsey Meyer was the starting pitcher for Adrian and earned the win for the day putting her at 1-1 on the year
• She pitched 6.1 innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs while tallying one strikeout and three walks.
• Kaitlin Lock pitched 0.2 innings and received her first save of the year
• Lock faced five batters and gave up one hit while recording one base on balls
THE OPPOSITION: HITTING
• Centre made a late push in the seventh inning recording four runs but was unable to complete the comeback
• Ellen Stephens led the team with three hits on the day
• She also tallied two RBIs and scored two runs herself
• Jessika Young had two RBIs on one hit
THE OPPOSITION: PITCHING
• Elysse Petrie got the start for Centre. She pitched 4.1 innings and gave up four earned runs, nine hits and had three base on balls while facing 29 batters
• Torey Hawkins pitched 1.2 innings only giving up one hit
EXTRA NOTE
• The game against Manchester earlier in the day was called due to rain
