Bulldogs Split at Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. – The Adrian College softball team split games at Hanover. The Panthers took the first game 4-3 in nine innings. The Bulldogs responded with a 10-4 win in game two.

ADRIAN HITTING

Jessica Sarch and Casey Cribbs had two hits

• Brandt hit one triple, one single, had one RBI and scored two of Adrian's three runs of the first game

• Sarch hit two singles and scored one run for game one

Jessica Palumbo and K'ya Toles-Burton both had three hits in game two (they both had one hit in game one as well)

• Toles-Burton scored four runs for the Bulldogs

ADRIAN PITCHING

• Adrian used five pitchers in the first game

Kaitlin Lock got the start and faced 13 batters and had two strikeouts

• She surrendered five hits and one earned run

Paige Cubberly pitched three innings and faced 12 batters

• She tallied one strike out and gave up three hits

Rebecca Neal and Katie Jenkins each pitched one inning

• Jenkins surrendered two hits and walked one batter

Kelsey Meyer pitched all seven innings of game two

• She faced 35 batters and had eight strikeouts and surrendered nine hits and two earned runs

• Gabby Ritchey led the Panthers with three hits and scored two runs in the first game

• Ritchey, Dabney Skutt and Writt all had two hits in game two

• Sydney Griffin pitched all nine innings of game one

• She faced 38 batters and recorded five strikeouts and surrendered eight hits and two earned runs

• Anna Phillippe started game two and faced 31 batters

• She gave up 12 hits, five earned runs and one home run

• Mikala Poe pitched one inning

• She surrendered three hits, three earned runs and one home run

UP NEXT

• The Bulldogs travel home to host Cleary in a double header home opener this Tuesday, March 29

• The first game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start
