Box Score 2 ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College softball team swept the visiting Cleary University Cougars on Tuesday afternoon for the Bulldogs home opening doubleheader.

Game one
- Kelsey Meyer went 3-for-3 (two singles and one double) and recorded three RBIs for the game
- Karissa DeVore (2-for-2, three RBIs) and Morgan Brandt (2-for-3) each had two hits (DeVore had two singles, Brandt one single, one double)
- Casey Cribbs (1-for-3) and Payge Reed (1-for-2) each had one RBI
Game two
- Jessica Palumbo (2-for-3), Karissa DeVore (2-for-3) and Cribbs (2-for-3) led Adrian with two hits each
- Cribbs was responsible for half of the Bulldog's points, recording four RBIs for the game (five total RBIs for the day)
- Palumbo, DeVore and K'ya Toles-Burton (1-for-1) each scored an RBI

Game one
- Meyer started in the circle for game one
- She pitched all five innings, facing 25 batters and giving up four hits, one earned run and struck out three batters
- With the win she improves to 3-4 on the season
Game two
- Kaitlin Lock (1-3) got the start at pitcher for game two
- She pitched all five innings and faced 20 batters, giving up four hits, no runs and struck out three batters to earn the shutout
CLEARY HITTING
Game one
- Kaitlin Dormire (1-for-1), Megan Baumgartner (1-for-3), Brooke Edmonds (1-for-3) and Ashely Valle (1-for-2) made up the four hits for the Cougars
- Valle tallied the team's only RBI for both games
Game two
- Edmonds (1-for-2), Cheyenne Wallace (1-for-2), Dormire (1-for-2) and Valle (1-for-2) each had one hit for Cleary in game two
CLEARY PITCHING
Game one
- Olivia Silvestri got the start for the Cougars in the circle for game one
- She pitched for 3.2 innings and faced 25 batters, giving up eight hits, six earned runs and struck out three batters
- Dormire came in on relief, pitching 1 inning and faced nine batters, giving up three hits and three earned runs
Game two
- Adrian Emanuelson pitched all 4.2 innings for Cleary in game two
