ALBION, Mich. - The Adrian College softball swept Albion, winning 8-0 (5) and 9-0 (5) in MIAA doubleheader action on Thursday (April 14). The sweep has the Bulldogs on a four game winning streak heading into the weekend home doubleheader against Alma.

ADRIAN HITTING

Game One

• Rebecca Greco (2-for-3) and Morgan Brandt (2-for-3) led the Bulldogs with two hits in game one (Brandt hit a single and a double; Greco hit two singles)

• Brandt and Taylor Van't Land (1-for-2) had a game high two RBIs

• Greco, Karissa DeVore (1-for-3) and Krista Lynch (0-for-2) each recorded one RBI

Game Two

• Five Bulldog players had a team high two hits in game two: Jessica Sarch (2-for-3), Greco (2-for-3), Casey Cribbs (2-for-3), DeVore (2-for-3) and Lynch (2-for-2)

• Sarch and Cribbs each hit one double and one single; Greco hit the only home run of the day

• Greco had a game high three RBIs, bringing her total to four RBIs for the entire day

• The Bulldogs had 15 hits as team in game two

Game One

• Kelsey Meyer (W, 6-5) pitched all five innings for Adrian

• She faced 23 batters, striking out one and allowed four hits but no runs or earned runs to earn the shutout victory

• Kaitlin Lock (W, 3-4) started in the circle for the Bulldogs and pitched all five innings

• She faced 19 batters, striking out five and only surrendered two hits in the shutout victory

• Four Albion players recorded one hit each in the losing effort

• Julia Anderson (1-for-2) and Sarah Hacker (1-for-1) had the only hits for Albion

• Monica Brugnoni (L, 3-9) pitched all five innings for the Britons

• Miranda Coty (L, 1-7) started for Albion in the circle and pitched all 4.1 innings
