Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--Adrian College senior Jake Waldrup recorded a game-high five points, but visiting Elmhurst College scored four times on man-up to clip the Bulldogs, 10-8, in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday under windy conditions and steady snow flurries as the game progressed.

= Waldrup led all scorers with five points on three goals and two assists, plus 10 of his 12 shots were on goal and he scooped up a career-best five ground balls.
= Junior Cody Schmitt tied his career high with two goals and three points from his defensive spot, while recording three ground balls.
= Sophomore Michael Turner added two goals
= Senior goalkeeper Brett Farrelly made 16 saves on 26 shots on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Elmhurst, which never trailed, scored four goals in 10 man-up opportunities.
= After back-to-back man-up tallies by Mac Harden and Dan O'Connell 1 minute and 7 seconds apart early in the final stanza doubled the Bluejays' to 8-4 with 11:26 left.
= But Adrian went on a 3-0 run over a 1:12 span to pull within 8-7 at 7:20. Waldrup scored twice and assisted on junior Matt Scherer's fourth goal of the season that ignited the rally. The last two goals were keyed by back-to-back face-off wins by seniors Dan Hudson (4 ground balls) and Doug Boyd (game-high six ground balls).
= Elmhurst got insurance goals from Tyler Dailey and Nathan Klimek before Turner closed the scoring for Adrian.
= Trailing 2-0, the Bulldogs got goals from Waldrup and Schmitt to knot the score after 15 minutes. Elmhurst led 4-3 at halftime and 5-4 after three quarters.
= Just like the final result, Elmhurst held slim advantages in shots (38-35), clears (20-for-29, 19-for-24) and ground balls (33-32), as both teams committed 21 turnovers.
THE OPPOSITION
= O'Connell (1 assist) and Dailey netted a hat trick apiece.
= With two goals and two assists, Harden tied O'Connell for the team lead with four points.
= Goalie Nick Bonastia made 17 saves to improve to 4-6 on the season.
= Dan Curley tied Boyd for game-high honors with six ground balls.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
= With 16 saves this afternoon, Farrelly maintains his Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association lead with 130 and passed Matt Neal (121 in 2011) for sixth-place on Adrian's all-time single season chart.
= Hudson was terrific at the "X" for the Bulldogs, winning a season-tying 13 of 17 face-offs.
= Waldrup has 19 goals and 24 points to rank tied for eighth and 11th, respectively, in the conference. Boyd has a team-best 25 points for 10th in the MIAA.
= Adrian still leads the all-time series, 2-1, as today was the first meeting in Adrian.
