HOLLAND, Mich.--The nationally No. 34-ranked Hope College women's tennis team used a 3-0 start after the doubles round to take an 8-1 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association triumph over visiting Adrian College on Saturday at the VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts.
The Bulldogs lose three straight matches for the first time this season and drop to 9-11 overall (2-5 in the MIAA). The Flying Dutch, who are No. 8 in the NCAA Division III Central Region, improve to 13-4 on the season, 5-0 in the conference.
Junior Victoria Watson led Adrian's cause with a No. 6 singles win over Erin LaBarge, 6-4, 6-2.
