Box Score 1 OLIVET, Mich. - THe Adrian College softball team swept MIAA opponent Olivet on the road Friday afternoon to improve it's conference record to 6-8 heading into the final two games of the regualr season.

ADRIAN HITTING
Game One
• With two outs at the top of the first inning, Morgan Brandt (0-for-1) was hit by a pitch before Karissa DeVore (2-for-4) doubled to left field allowing Brandt to score the first run of the game for Adrian
• K'ya Toles-Burton (1-for-3) hit a home run to score DeVore and herself to gain the 3-0 lead
• Trailing 4-3 in the 7th inning, Rebecca Greco (0-for-2) would reach first on a fielder's choice and then advance on the throw moving Jessica Sarch (1-for-4) over to third and scoring Macy Laws to tie the game at 4-4
• Brandt scored Sarch after reaching second base on a dropped fly to left field
• DeVore would end the scoring for the Bulldogs, doubling to left field to score both Brandt and Greco
Game Two
• DeVore went 2-for-3 in game two, her first hit was a two-run home run to left center that gave the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead
• Toles-Burton (1-for-3) would improve on the lead at the bottom of the 6th when she doubled down the left field line allowing DeVore to score a run to increase the Adrian lead to 3-0
• Later in the inning, Courtney VanRiper (1-for-1) would score the final run of the day, singling to right center and scoring Toles-Burton
ADRIAN PITCHING
Game One
• Kelsey Meyer (W, 8-8) started for Adrian, pitching 6.0 innings, striking out two batters and surrendering four earned runs
• Payge Reed (Sv, 2) pitched the final inning to clinch the win and earn her second save of the season
Game Two
• Kaitlin Lock (W, 4-7) started for the Bulldogs and pitched 5.1 innings, earning four strike outs while allowing five hits
• Payge Reed (Sv, 3) pitched the final 1.2 innings to seal the win and earn her second save of the day and third of the season
OLIVET HITTING
Game One
• Haley Reed (2-for-3), Carrie Chamberlain (2-for-4) and Konnor Geiger (2-for-3) led Olivet in hits
• Reed and Geiger each hit one double
• Kelsey Scheenk (1-for-3) hit a home run for the Comets
Game Two
• Grubb (2-for-3) led the Comets in hits with two
• Taylor Smith (1-for-3), Chamberlain (1-for-2), Geiger (1-for-3) and Devon Mayse (1-for-3) each contributed one hit
OLIVET PITCHING
Game One
• Ashlynn Grubb (L, 10-6) pitched a complete game for Olivet
• She faced 33 batters, striking out seven of them, and gave up six hits, seven runs (three earned) and one home run
Game Two
• Chamberlain (L, 6-10) pitched a complete game for the Comets
• She faced 27 batters, striking out four and surrendered four hits, four earned runs and one home run
