Box Score 1 ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College softball team ended the regular season on Saturday (April 30) in an MIAA doubleheader versus Hope. The Flying Dutch spoiled Senior Day for the Bulldogs by winning both games (5-1 / 10-7).

ADRIAN HITTING
Game One
• Karissa DeVore (1-for-2) homered to right center in the bottom of the 4th inning to score the only Bulldog run of game one
• K'ya Toles-Burton (2-for-3) led Adrian with two singles
• Jessica Palumbo (1-for-2) and Krista Lynch (1-for-2) each recorded a hit in the game
Game Two
• The Bulldogs struck early scoring a run in the first inning when DeVore (1-for-4) singled to second base and scored Greco
• Hope would take a 2-1 lead into the second inning before Morgan Brandt (1-for-4) hit a grand slam in the second inning to give the lead back to Adrian, 5-2
• The Flying Dutch would score two more runs in the bottom of the inning and again the Bulldogs would respond scoring two more runs at the top of the 3rd inning for a 7-4 lead heading into the 4th inning
• Hope scored four runs in the bottom of the 4th inning and two more in the bottom of the 6th inning to clinch the game two victory and the sweep
ADRIAN PITCHING
Game One
• Kelsey Meyer (L, 8-9) pitched her 12th complete game of the season
• She faced 33 batters and earned one strike out while allowing 10 hits and five earned runs
Game Two
• Kaitlin Lock (L, 4-8) got the start for the Bulldogs
• She pitched 4.0 innings, earning three strikeouts and allowing nine hits, eight earned runs and a home run
• Payge Reed pitched the final 2.0 innings, tallying a strikeout and surrendering three hits, two earned runs and one home run
HOPE HITTING
Game One
• Autumn Anderson (3-for-4) hit a triple and two singles to lead the Flying Dutch in hitting in game one and also had one-of-five RBIs for Hope
• Jenna Maury (2-for-3) contributed two hits
Game Two
• Maury went 4-for-4 (one HR, three singles) and recorded five RBIs to lead the Flying Dutch in both categories
• Noelle Jackson (1-for-2) hit a solo home run
• Anderson contributed two RBIs for Hope
HOPE PITCHING
Game One
• Sydney Jones (W, 7-9) pitched all seven innings for Hope
• She faced 29 batters, striking out 14 and surrendered fives hits, one earned run and a home run
Game Two
• Kate Laverty got the start in the circle for Hope
• She pitched 2.1 innings and allowed six hits, seven runs (6 earned) and a home run
• Katie Singer (W, 4-3) picked up the win in relief tallying one strikeout and no hits or runs in 4.2 innings pitched
