HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half: Adrian 0, Grove City 2
• Krista Heckman received the ball off a cross from Elena Guerra and put the ball in the net in the 13th minute to give the Wolverines the 1-0
• Lacy Harkrader would score an unassisted goal to increase the Grove City lead to 2
• Grove City edged Adrian with seven shots to the Bulldogs three in the first half
Second Half: Adrian 0, Grove City 2
• Adrian came out in the second half increasing the pressure, recording nine shots and only allowing the Wolverines two shots in the second half putting the game shot total to 12-9 in favor of the Bulldogs
• Despite outshooting Grove City, Adrian couldn't get the ball in the net
• "I was glad that we stepped up and performed much more to our level in the second half," said Head Coach Ali Alamdari, "We have to blame ourselves for digging a hole in the first half, but credit also goes to a seasoned Grove City squad...they took advantage of our miscues like a veteran squad should.
TOP DOGS
• Sofia Farah led the Bulldogs with two shots on goal
• Carlin O'Malley, Tayler O'Dell and Mackenzie Wilcox each had one shot on goal
• Haley Barnes made three saves in the net for Adrian
THE OPPOSITION
• Heckman and Harkrader scored the two goals for Grove City
• Guerra and Harkrader each tallied an assist
• Goalkeeper Trishae Winters made five saves in net for the Wolverines
