ADRIAN, Mich.--NCAA Division I Eastern Michigan University pinned a 48-6 loss on host Adrian College in a non-conference men's wrestling match at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center, the first home event for the Bulldogs since their season opener back on Nov. 10.
Sophomore Ty Jasman received Adrian's points at 149 pounds via forfeit.
Junior heavyweight Zach Rieger went up against EMU's Gage Hutchison who is ranked by all major national outlets, including as high as No. 14 by InterMat. Hutchinson improved to 20-8 while Rieger lost for only the fourth time in 15 bouts at 285.
Adrian returns to the mat on Thursday when it hosts Olivet College, the 17th-ranked squad in NCAA Division III, for the Bulldogs' home finale of the season. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start in the MSFC. Video by Adrian College Television (ACTV).
