ORLANDO, Fla.--The Adrian College men's tennis team won its third-straight match here on Spring Break with easy wins over Otterbein, 8-1, and Milwaukee School of Engineering, 9-0, at the USTA National Training Center on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs improve to a season's best 5-2 record for the 2016-17 campaign while the Cardinals dip to 1-4 on the season and Engineers, 1-10.
Leading the highlights for Adrian were junior Jeff Sophiea and freshman Nathan Waterbury who both went 4-0 on the day. Junior Dylan Linklater made his season debut against Otterbein playing at No. 1 doubles (with classmate Brandon Brom) and No. 1 singles, winning 8-1 and then 6-1, 6-1.
Adrian continues its schedule in the Sunshine State on Wednesday with two more matches: Rose-Hulman at 9 a.m. and Puerto Rico-Rio Piedros at 6 p.m.
