Box Score ELMHURST, Ill.--Host Elmhurst College jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first quarter on the way to a 25-8 non-conference men's lacrosse victory over Adrian College on Saturday.

= Starter Nick Bonastia (W, 4-6) got the win after playing 44 minutes and 6 seconds, making one save.
= Rami Ringling was dominant in the "X" by winning 21 of 29 face-offs, and tying teammate Dan Curley (1g, 1a) with a game-best eight ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Elmhurst, which never trailed, led 7-1 after 15 minutes and 13-3 at the halftime break. Four of EC's first seven tallies came via man-up.
= The BlueJays were successful on all 11 clear attempts, committed a season-low 12 turnovers, scored on 7-of-8 man-up opportunities, and outshot the Bulldogs 57-15.
= Elmhurst also won the battle with ground balls, 48-23.
= Elmhurst led 5-0 after the first 6:55 before Schmitt put Adrian on the scoreboard with 5:34 left in the opening quarter while on the man-up.
