GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--Host Calvin College didn't lose a set to deal Adrian College a 9-0 loss on Tuesday in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's tennis action at the Strikwerda Outdoor Tennis Center.
The Knights improve to 10-6 overall and 4-1 in the MIAA, while the Bulldogs drop to 7-11 on the season and 2-4 in conference play.
A bright spot for the Bulldogs was junior Amber Laginess who captured 14 games in a tough No. 1 doubles loss (8-6) with fellow co-captain and senior Victoria Watson and a defeat in the top singles spot, 7-5, 6-3.
Claire Spoelhof paced the Knights with wins at both No. 1 singles and doubles.
Next up, Adrian returns home on Saturday for an 11 a.m. Senior Day contest against MIAA opponent Olivet College at the Craft Tennis Complex.
