Men's Tennis Steamrolls Wentworth, 9-0

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Adrian College men's tennis team picked up its second win of the spring with a 9-0 rout of Wentworth on Tuesday, March 5. It was a nice change of pace after the rain prevented the earlier match against Coe to be postponed.

The one doubles pairing of juniors Tanner Wilcox and Nathan Waterbury picked up an 8-1 win, the two doubles duo of sophomore Ronald Ducharme and junior Kyle Haines won 8-2, as did the three doubles tandem of junior Nolan Duda and freshman Cameron Rafinski.

Singles action went even better for the Bulldogs, losing only nine games throughout the six matches. Waterbury won 6-1, 6-1 at the top flight and his doubles partner Wilcox won 6-0, 6-1 in the two slot. Ducharme had the toughest time getting the win, but still had an easy win of 6-3, 6-1 at three singles. Rafinski won 6-1, 6-0 at four singles and Haines had the best match of the night, winning 12 consecutive games to take the match 6-0, 6-0. Adrian's final win at six singles was from sophomore Jovanni Wagner-Payne, winning 6-0, 6-1

Adrian has an off day on Wednesday and will wrap-up its spring break trip with a match against Concordia-Moorhead on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
