ORLANDO, Fla. – The Adrian College men's tennis team lost to Concordia-Moorhead 5-4 on Thursday, March 7 in the Bulldogs final match of spring break.
Adrian picked up one point in doubles, with the pairing of junior Nolan Duda and freshman Cameron Rafinski winning a hard-fought match at the three spot by a score of 8-6. The Bulldogs were then only able to win half of the singles matches, winning at the one, five, and six spots.
Junior Nathan Waterbury battled back after losing the first set at one singles to take the second set and the tiebreaker, winning 2-6, 6-3, 11-9. AC's other two singles wins were in straight sets, with junior Kyle Haines winning 6-3, 6-3 at the five spot and sophomore Jovanni Wagner-Payne taking the six spot 6-0, 6-2.
Adrian's next match will be on Saturday, March 16 on the road at Aquinas. The match starts at 2 p.m. and will be played concurrently with the women's match at Aquinas.
