WHEATON, Ill.--Junior Noah Nieman and sophomore Derick Duvall have advanced to the semifinals at the Wheaton College/Pete Willson Invitational, where the Adrian College men's wrestling team sits in 17th place out of 30 schools with 37 points after the first day of competition. The action concludes tomorrow here at King Arena on the Wheaton campus, starting at 11 a.m. Eastern.

At 149 pounds, Nieman dominated two opponents via technical fall and edged Chase Sumner of Ohio Northern, 11-10, in the quarterfinals to reach the "final four." Earlier in the day, Nieman was named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association all-conference squad.

Fellow All-MIAA standout Duvall pinned Heidelberg University's Devin Miller in 3 minutes and 49 seconds to open his day at 165. Then he decisioned Stephen Watson of the host Thunder, 13-6, and won his third match by injury default to earn a place in the "final four."
