ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's wrestling team had its first dual of the 2022 against Albion College which also opened up MIAA conference duals. The Bulldogs came away with a massive 42-6 win and picked up its eighth dual win of the season.
Adrian opened the night with three exhibition matches finishing 3-0.
Mitchell Moore won by fall at 184 in 2:33.
Mason Slocum followed it up with a pin of his own in 2:00 at 285.
Braden Damiani picked up a win by decision in another 285 bout by a score of 5-3.
The dual began at 125 with Albion grabbing the first points winning by decision to take a 3-0 lead. The Bulldogs won the next two weight classes by forfeit to pull ahead 12-3. Ablion struck again with a 6-5 win by decision with the help of a riding time point bring the team scores to 12-6. That was it from Albion as Adrian began to take off.
Junior Martin recorded a pin at 157 in 1:44 to extend the Bulldog lead.
Zach Altman followed it up with another pin at 165 to go back-to-back. Derrick Duvall didn't need much time as he recorded the team's third consecutive pin in only four seconds to put the Bulldogs ahead 30-6.
Blake Williams demolished his opponent 18-3 to win by tech fall at 184 adding five more points to Adrian's score.

Dylan Wellbaum put up 17 points handling his opponent and picking up a major decision by a score of 17-3. To end the night,
Isaiah Espinoza won by decision with a 2-0 score at 285 to add insurance to the victory.
Tuesday's dual was the fifth time this season that the Bulldogs put up more than 40 points in a dual. The Bulldogs move to 8-6 on the season and start 1-0 in conference play.
The Bulldogs will return to action this weekend at the NWCA National Duals in Louisville, Ky. slatted to begin on Thursday, January 6.
