ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's wrestling team hosted the annual Adrian Duals on Saturday where the Bulldogs wrestled in four duals. The Bulldogs went 3-1 on the day with wins over UW-Stevens Point, Henry Ford Community College, and Southwestern Michigan College. The Bulldogs only loss came against West Liberty University.

The Bulldogs began the day with a 28-12 victory over UW-Stevens Point. The Bulldogs went down 3-0 after the first bout, but bounced back to win the next four. Tyler Davis won by decision followed by a major decision win from Tanner Smith. Zach Platte won by decision which was backed by a win by fall from Trent Rector. Derick Duvall won by decision at 174 which was followed by a win by fall from Dylan Wellbaum and a win by decision from Kyle Emery.

Adrian struggled in the second dual against West Liberty. The Bulldogs were shutout through the first five bouts before Trenton DiGenova put the Bulldogs on the board with a six-point win. Wellbaum picked up the other three points for Adrian with a 10-5 win by decision at 197.

The Bulldogs bounced back with a massive 54-0 shutout over Henry Ford Community College. Colton Weimer won by fall to start the match followed by a win by decision from Davis before a Henry Ford forfeit at 141. Platte won by fall followed by another pin from Rector. DiGenova won by tech fall at 16-1 before a 10-5 decision win from Duvall. Adrian won the next two bouts by forfeit before another tech fall win from Emery.

Adrian finished the day with a 48-6 victory over Southwestern Michigan College. Weimer and Davis gave the Bulldogs an 11-0 lead to start the match before a win by forfeit at 141 and a major decision from Platte to lead 21-0. Southwestern Michigan got on the board with a win by injury just before the Bulldogs won by decision at 165 followed by four straight pins the rest of the way.

Adrian returns to action on Saturday, November 19 as they travel to Olivet College for the Olivet Duals scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
