ADRIAN, Mich. - As of Tuesday, the MIAA men's and women's tennis tournaments are 22 days away, and coming into this week, both Bulldog teams are on the outside looking in.

Since starting the 2022 conference-season strong, Adrian has dropped each of its last three matches, and currently sit in fifth-place on the men's side, and sixth-place in the women's standings.

The black and gold will have their chances to make up some ground this week, as they host Alma College on Tuesday afternoon before the women complete a rescheduled-match against Olivet College on Thursday.

Alma is coming off of a sweep of the Comets on Sunday, in which the Scots' men won 7-2, and the women won 9-0. Prior to the weekend victory, however, the Scots had been outscored a combined 61-2.

Against the Bulldogs, Alma has not recorded a win since the 2013 campaign.

As for Olivet, the Adrian men have already taken care of business with an 8-1 victory over the Comets back on March 26, now it is the women's turn.

The Olivet women are the only in-conference team who have yet to tally a point in five matches this season, and they will have their hands full against a 'Dogs squad looking to return to 0.500 in league-play.

Jules Johnson (10-3) and Liv Depies (9-6) pace Adrian in singles, while the combo of Johnson and Elizabeth Himebauch (7-6) lead the Bulldogs in doubles.

On the men's side, Ryan Cuddy (8-7) is 3-1 against conference opponents, and has picked up all three of his wins in straight-sets.
