ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey team swept the Minot State University Beavers at home over the weekend thanks to two shutouts from Senior goaltender
Chloe Burt. The Bulldogs secured 3-0 and 2-0 victories to improve to 7-1-0 on the season.
The Bulldogs opened the series with a commanding win on Saturday night, outshooting the Beavers 34-10 in the opening game.

Hailey Wiltshire, and
Allison Shaw provided the goals for Adrian while Burt stopped all ten shots faced for her third shutout win of the season.
Sunday afternoon's match up resulted in another solid defensive effort from the Bulldogs, as Adrian's defense held Minot scoreless and Burt made 25 saves for her fourth shutout and fifth win of the season in goal. Shaw opened the scoring for the Bulldogs just thirteen seconds into the game before the two teams clawed back and forth until thirty seconds remaining in the game when
Sydney White iced it for Adrian, scoring into the yawning cage.Â
The Bulldogs have a lengthy history with Minot State University, having previously played them nine times before, and winning five of those games. The Bulldogs now move to 7-4 against Minot thanks to two commanding victories.
The WD1 Bulldogs will continue their strong schedule with a rival matchup against Liberty University at the Arrington Ice Arena on November 3-4. Puck drop on Friday between the Bulldogs and Flames will be at 3:00 PM, followed by a 7:00 PM puck drop on Saturday night to close the series.
