ADA, Ohio – The Adrian College men's wrestling team traveled to Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon for the Ohio Northern Invitational. Adrian finished the day with a fifth place finish out of 14 teams with 100.5 total points.
The Bulldogs finished the day with eight top-8 finishes throughout the weight classes today.
Colton Weimer finished fifth for Adrian at 125 after a win by decision in the fifth-place match, 9-4.
Tyler Davis earned himself a fourth-place finish at 133 after falling in the third-place match by tech fall.
Tanner Smith led the Bulldogs with a second-place finish at 141 after losing by a 6-2 decision in the championship.
Mackenze Baird came in sixth at 141.
Zachary Platte placed eighth at 157 after dropping his final match by medical forfeit. At 184,
Blake Williams added a fourth-place finished losing the third-place match in sudden victory while
Mitchell Moore came in fifth at 184. The final placer for Adrian was
Mason Slocum at 285 where he placed sixth.
Adrian will wrap up the semester with a home dual against crosstown rivals, Siena Heights University, on Saturday, December 9 at 10:30 AM.
