MANHEIM, Pa. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has unveiled its first NCAA Women's Coaches Poll for the 2025–26 season, marking an exciting milestone for the sport with the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships set for March 6–7 in Coralville, Iowa, at Xtream Arena.
The Iowa Hawkeyes opens the year as the nation's top team, earning 109 points with all 10 wrestlers ranked. McKendree sits close behind in second with 88 points, followed by North Central College (84). Grand Valley State (77) and Presbyterian (57) round out the top five.
Adrian College makes its mark on the national stage, coming in tied for 17th with nine points while ranking fourth in the region. Individually, the Bulldogs feature two nationally and regionally ranked standouts. At 117 pounds, Carleigh Czerneski enters the season ranked sixth nationally. Joining her is returning national qualifier Mia Gaetjens, who holds the No. 8 national ranking at 180 pounds.
