PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island. – Aiden Smith of the Adrian College men's wrestling team took fourth place at the DIII National Championships.
Aiden Smith delivered a stellar performance on day one, earning his spot in day two of the NCAA DIII National Championships. He posted an impressive 3-1 record, with his only setback coming in the quarterfinals. Smith battled through the consolation bracket, fighting his way to the third-place match, where he faced Kinkiad from Loras College for the third time this season. Despite a hard-fought effort, Smith fell just short, securing a fourth-place finish on the national stage.
Smith wrapped up the season with an outstanding 30-3 record, capping off a dominant year in the MIAA. He went undefeated in conference action (4-0) and was named MIAA Most Valuable Wrestler. The junior standout's remarkable run solidifies him as one of the top wrestlers in the country, and he'll look to build on his success heading into his senior season.
