MANHEIM. PA.- The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-American Awards recipients on Friday. These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom.
The following criteria: Place in top 8 in the regional tournament, wrestle at least 15 matches and have a win percentage greater than 66%. On the academic side the criteria is a wrestler must have an average GPA of 3.2 over the last 2 semesters or quarters or last 3 trimesters and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2.
Blake Williams earned a spot on the prestigious list for his outstanding performance both on the mat and in the classroom during the 2024-25 season. Williams posted an impressive 30-6 overall record, including a 2-1 mark in MIAA competition. His dominance continued at the NCAA DIII Regional Tournament, where he went undefeated at 4-0 to claim the regional title. Advancing to the NCAA DIII National Championships, Williams finished with a solid 2-2 record, capping off a stellar season.
Zachary Platte was recognized as a Scholar All-American for his achievements in both academics and athletics. Platte finished the season with a balanced 12-12 record, including a strong 3-1 showing in MIAA action. He capped off his campaign with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA DIII Region V Tournament.
Spencer Vos wrapped up his junior season with a 14-16 overall record, going 2-1 in MIAA competition. His best performance came at the NCAA DIII Region V Tournament, where he battled to a seventh-place finish with a 2-2 record.
