GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Adrian College track and field team took their multis athletes to Calvin University to compete in the MIAA Championships.
The Multi portion of the MIAA Championships concluded after two days of strong competition, with the Bulldogs earning points on both the men's and women's sides.
On the men's side, Ian Kramp delivered a determined performance in the decathlon, earning one point for the Bulldogs. He placed third in the shot put with a throw of 10.28 meters (33-8.75), finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.17 meters (20-3.00), and took fourth in the discus throw with a mark of 27.11 meters (88-11). Kramp's efforts landed him eighth overall in the event.
On the women's side, Alysia Townsend had a standout showing, contributing all five of the team's points. She took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.41 seconds, cleared 1.51 meters (4-11.50) to win the high jump, and secured another victory in the long jump with a leap of 5.18 meters (17-00). Her outstanding performance highlighted the team's success in the multi events.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday, April 25 where they will head to the CUAA Legacy Meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, hosted by Concordia University, the meet is set to start at 11:00 AM.
