ADRIAN, Mich. -- With every Adrian College Homecoming, the Bulldogs induct a new class of Hall of Fame members. During the week we will highlight the Class of 2025 and the accomplishments each of them made during their time at Adrian College.
On September 19, 2025, Adrian College will proudly honor Kelsey Kusch, Class of 2015, whose standout achievements as a student-athlete and healthcare professional have made a lasting impact both on and off the ice.
After transferring from Concordia University Wisconsin, Kelsey became a cornerstone of the Adrian College NCAA Women's Hockey team, playing three dynamic seasons with the Bulldogs. She was instrumental in leading the team to its first regular-season conference championship in 2014–15, showcasing not only her offensive firepower but also her leadership and academic excellence.
Kelsey's list of accolades is extensive. She was named:
- AHCA/CCM All-American (2013–14)
- First-Team USCHO (2013–14)
- Third-Team USCHO (2014–15)
- Three-time NCHA All-Conference selection
In 2014, she led the nation as the NCAA Division III Statistical Champion, averaging 1.74 points per game. Over her 79 games as a Bulldog, she racked up an impressive 62 goals and 60 assists, ranking among the program's all-time leaders in several key categories:
- 6th in career points (122)
- 5th in goals (62)
- 2nd in power-play goals (24)
- 7th in game-winning goals (10)
Off the ice, Kelsey excelled just as impressively. A multi-time NCHA All-Academic Team honoree, she was named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Team and earned Adrian College's Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year award. That same year, she also received the Exercise Science Student of the Year honor. Kelsey graduated Magna Cum Laude, serving as President of the Kinesiology Club.
After Adrian, she earned her Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Michigan University, where she was elected Class President of the PA Class of 2019. Today, Kelsey serves as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, bringing the same level of excellence and commitment to patient care that she demonstrated as an athlete.
Her connection to Adrian College continues through her brother, Mitchell Kusch '18, a former member of the ACHA Men's D3 hockey team.
Kelsey also remains active in the sport she loves. She plays for the Belle Tire Senior Team, which, alongside seven fellow Adrian alumni, has captured back-to-back USA Hockey Adult National Championships.
In addition to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday night, the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be honored on the field before the Homecoming football game on Saturday.
