FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced its Athletes of the Week on Monday, with two Adrian College student-athletes earning honors. Tim Simons of the football team was named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week, while Jack Vogel of the men's golf team was recognized as MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Simons, a defensive back, stood out on special teams during Adrian's 57-0 Homecoming victory over Manchester. He recorded five tackles and forced two fumbles—both on kickoff coverage—which directly led to Bulldog touchdowns. Adrian remains undefeated on the season with a 3-0 record.
Vogel earned Men's Golfer of the Week honors after taking first place at MIAA Jamboree #1 last Monday. He shot 2-under par for the round, highlighted by six birdies. This marks his second top-three finish of the season, following a runner-up performance at the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament. With the win, Vogel now holds a one-stroke lead in the MIAA Individual Standings.
