FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced the inaugural Preseason Poll for men's tennis on Tuesday afternoon. As voted on by the MIAA coaches, the Adrian College men's team is projected to place fifth in the conference 2026 spring season.
The Bulldogs sit with a 4-3 record after the non-conference fall season. Adrian picked up wins over Manchester, Webster, Franklin, and Ohio Wesleyan.
Michael Mascarin leads the Bulldogs with a 5-0 record while
Jaxon Nejedlik sits at 5-1. The duo of
Michael Mascarin and
Luca Coutinho sit with a 4-1 record at No. 1 Doubles while
Jayden Miller and
Jack Oswald also sit at 4-1 in Doubles.
Last season, Adrian placed fifth and dropped the first round MIAA Tournament match on the road to Trine University. Kalamazoo College is projected to win the MIAA with seven first-place votes followed by Calvin and Hope tied for second. Calvin holds one first place vote. Trine University sits in fourth followed by Adrian in fifth, Alma in sixth, Albion in seventh, and Olivet in eighth.
Adrian's spring season is slatted to begin in Florida with a doubleheader against Wartburg College and John Carroll University on Monday, March 2. The MIAA season will begin on the road on Saturday, March 28 at Trine University.
