UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's club volleyball team played in a competitve Saginaw Valley Spring Tournament Saturday. The Bulldogs finished the tournament strong, earning two wins over Washtenaw Community College and Wayne State University.Â
Adrian opened play against University of Toledo in its first matchup, dropping the contest 2–0. The Bulldogs then faced the host, Saginaw Valley, where they fell in straight sets, 2–0, before falling 2-0 once more to Oakland University.Â
Despite the early setbacks, Adrian showed resilience down the stretch. The Bulldogs rebounded in their final two matches, defeating Washtenaw in straight sets before closing the tournament with a 2–1 victory over Wayne State.Â
Offensively, Olivia Grimpo and Cailey White led the Bulldogs with 18 kills, followed closely by Lindsay Bergman with 15. Bergman also lead with 48 assist within all five contest. Defensively, Jersey Patton anchored the back row with 33 digs, while Bergman followed with 25. Grimpo finished the day with five blocks. From the service line, Cailey White delivered 7 aces, while Emma Ashe and Julyann Trimble delivered 5 each.Â
Up Next:  The Bulldogs are back in action on April 2-4 where they will head down to Kanas City, Missouri for the NCVF Nationals.  Â
