ORLANDO, Fla. – The Adrian College dance team traveled to Florida over the weekend to compete at the DTU College Classic National Championships. The Bulldogs competed in the Jazz Category before showcasing their routine in the Division III Team Performance Category. The event marked Adrian's second appearance at the DTU National Championships in program history and the first time the Bulldogs competed in two categories.

In the Jazz Category, the Bulldogs' preliminary round performance earned a spot in the semifinals. Adrian fell short of advancing to the finals but placed 13th overall with a score of 85.03. The 2026 season also marked the program's first advancement to the semifinal round in the Jazz Category.

The Bulldogs then competed in the Division III Team Performance Category, posting an 80.36 in the preliminary round to advance to Sunday's finals. Adrian was able to make changes to its routine based on judges' feedback from preliminaries and improved to an 86.16 in the finals, finishing fourth overall.

"As a coach, I couldn't be prouder of this team and everything they've accomplished," said head coach Erin Aurand. "Bringing two routines to nationals takes dedication, and they rose to the challenge in every way. We are excited to be back next year."

The Bulldogs conclude the 2025-26 season at the DTU National Championships and will return to action next fall at Adrian College football games, performing on the sidelines and during halftime. Following the 2026 football season, the dance team will begin preparing for multiple regional tournaments and a return to nationals in 2027.
