ADRIAN, Mich. – Last Friday, D3baseball.com released its 50th Anniversary Golden Team. This team is compiled of the best of the best in the first fifty years of Division III baseball. Adrian College's Tommy Parsons '18 was named a fourth-team Golden Team member.
 

To select the 50th Anniversary Golden Team, D3baseball.com looked at the All-Americans, Gold Gloves, and Player of the Year awards won in 2026 and before, along with players who were drafted. Point totals were applied, and a cut line helped determine around three candidates per position for each of the four Gold Teams compiled. Media members then voted to determine which players would be added to the 50th Anniversary Golden Teams.
 

Tommy Parsons's historic career at Adrian spanned from 2015-18. During this time, he earned MIAA Pitcher of the Year, First-Team All-MIAA, ABCA All-Mideast Region, and D3baseball.com All-Region honors three times. Parsons was named an All-American twice during his time at Adrian. 
 

Parsons etched his name into Adrian baseball's record book numerous times, finishing his Bulldog career as the career leader in ERA (2.21), wins (40), complete games (24), and shutouts (7). He remains top-three in career innings pitched, games started, strikeouts, and pick-offs. His 2017 and 2018 seasons hold the top two spots for multiple single-season records at Adrian, including wins, complete games, shutouts, innings pitched, strikeouts, and batters faced.
 

During MIAA play, Parsons continued to dominate hitters. He led the MIAA in several categories throughout each season of his career. He holds the record for most MIAA wins in a career with 26. Parsons' 187.1 innings pitched and 2.02 ERA rank fourth in MIAA history. In 2018, Parsons set the MIAA record for single-season wins (8), innings pitched (60.0), and strikeouts (77). As a sophomore, Parsons threw a no-hitter against Olivet, becoming the only Bulldog pitcher to throw one against a conference opponent.

After his illustrious collegiate career, Parsons signed a professional contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on June 12, 2018.
