TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team put together a dominant performance at the Irish Hills Invitational on Saturday, claiming the team championship with a two-round score of 642.
The Bulldogs entered the final round with a four-stroke lead after shooting a 325 on Friday. Adrian closed the tournament with a 317 on Saturday to finish 14 strokes ahead of second-place Hope (656) and secure the team title.
Rachel Fay led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing tied for first individually with a two-round score of 155. Fay opened with an 81 before firing a two-over-par 74 in the final round to climb into the top spot.
Ainslee Hewitt also delivered a top-three performance, finishing third overall with a 158. Hewitt improved from an 82 in the opening round to a 76 on Saturday. Kennedy Kehres rounded out Adrian's top three, finishing fifth with a 160 after rounds of 77 and 83.
Rylie Yuhas finished 14th with a 172, while Sami Burks posted a 175 to finish 17th.
Adrian's B team also competed in the tournament, finishing fourth with a two-round total of 714. Mackenzie Schulz led the group with a 171, while Teagan Munch finished with a 172.
The Bulldogs will look to build on their championship performance as they continue the 2026-27 season at MIAA Jamboree#1 on Monday, September 14 at Marshall Country Club hosted by Albion College.
