SAUGATUCK, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team competed in the second MIAA Jamboree of the season on Tuesday afternoon at Clearbrook Golf Club. Hope College hosted the second conference jamboree, with the Bulldogs finishing fourth out of nine teams after shooting a 331.
Rachel Fay led the Bulldogs, finishing second individually with a 75. Fay carded three birdies during her round. Ainslee Hewitt followed with a 79 to finish fourth, highlighted by a birdie.
Rylie Yuhas shot an 87 for Adrian, while Kennedy Kehres followed with a 90. Sami Burks rounded out the Bulldogs' starting lineup with a 93.
Mackenzie Schultz competed as an individual for Adrian and shot an 84, while Gillian Illes also competed as an individual and finished with a 90.
Through two MIAA conference rounds, the Bulldogs sit in second place in the conference standings with a two-round total of 649. Albion leads Adrian by one stroke with a 648, while Trine and Hope are tied for third with totals of 651.
Adrian will return to action in a non-conference tournament in Madison, Wisconsin, on September 27-28, hosted by UW-Whitewater. The two-day event will be held at TPC Wisconsin and will serve as preparation for the third MIAA Jamboree, scheduled for Tuesday, October 6.
