MARSHALL, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team opened MIAA conference play on Monday at the first Jamboree of the season. The Bulldogs came away with the team victory, shooting a 318 to lead the field of nine teams.
Kennedy Kehres led the way for Adrian, earning medalist honors with a round of 76. Kehres carded a 35 on the front nine, highlighted by two birdies, before shooting a 41 on the back nine to finish atop the individual leaderboard.
Rachel Fay also turned in a strong performance, tying for second with a 78. Ainslee Hewitt added another top-10 finish for the Bulldogs, tying for seventh with an 80. Sami Burks shot an 84, while Rylie Yuhas rounded out Adrian's starting lineup with an 85.
Mackenzie Schulz competed as an individual and tied for 14th with an 82. Gillian Iles also competed as an individual, finishing with an 89.
The Bulldogs return to action at MIAA Jamboree No. 2 on Tuesday, September 22, at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck, Michigan. The round is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
