MARSHALL, Mich. – The Adrian College women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a second-place finish at the two-day Kyle Campbell Invitational hosted by The University of Olivet. The Bulldogs carded a 320 in the opening round before improving by 12 strokes with a 308 in the final round. Adrian finished with a two-round total of 628, one stroke behind Trine University in the 12-team field.

Rachel Fay earned medalist honors after firing a 146 (+2) over the two rounds. She opened with a 75 (+3) before carding a tournament-low 71 (-1) in the final round. Fay was the only golfer in the field to shoot under par in either round and finished five strokes ahead of second place.

Ainslee Hewitt placed fifth individually with a 155, shooting rounds of 79 and 76. Sami Burks tied for 14th with a 161 after carding rounds of 81 and 80, while Kennedy Kehres tied for 24th with a 166 following rounds of 85 and 81. Mackenzie Schulz rounded out the Adrian scoring five with a 177, improving from a 94 in the opening round to an 83 in the final round.

The Bulldogs also had four golfers compete as individuals. Rylie Yuhas tied for 19th with a 163 after rounds of 82 and 81. Gillian Iles and Teagan Munch each finished tied for 43rd with a 180. Iles shot rounds of 89 and 91, while Munch improved by 12 strokes with rounds of 96 and 84. Ella Helminiak rounded out the Adrian individuals with a 188.

The Bulldogs will return to action on September 11-12 when they host the Irish Hills Invitational at Tecumseh Golf Club.
