Adrian got the scoring started early as sophomore Billy Cremeans scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season off assists from the freshman duo of Morgan Copeland and Marcus Derrick-Huie. Olivet tied the game with a goal in the 29th minute. It didn't take long for Adrian to regain the lead, as Derrick-Huie scored his third goal of the year with two minutes left in the period off assists from freshman Mitch Aguilera and sophomore Travis Smith.
Olivet again tied the game as they connected on a penalty kick that was awarded. The game remained quiet for the next 20 minutes as no goals were scored, even though Adrian had several opportunities but could not find the net.
In the 77th minute, sophomore Aaron Armstrong headed home his first goal of the season off a free kick from Cremeans. The pace picked up in the last five minutes. Adrian struck first with a chip shot from 20 yards out off the foot of freshman Quinton Wallace, netting his first goal of the season off a long pass from freshman Vince Behnke. The Bulldogs score three minutes later on a 2-on-1 breakaway as it was again Derrick-Huie who fed the ball across the box to sophomore Justin McCurbin who scored his first goal of the season. Olivet would again be awarded a penalty kick only 17 seconds later, and would convert for the final score of the match.
Playing his final home game, senior goalkeeper Alex Pavlika made two saves.
Adrian will wrap up their season as they travel to Alma on Saturday, November 6 for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff. The Bulldogs can win the MIAA conference with a win and a loss or tie by Hope and Calvin.
