= Classmate Tristin Richardson had three hits and four RBI in the two games.

= Senior Hunter Hayes was 4-for-9 with three RBI on the afternoon.

THE OPPOSITION
= James Spilko was 1-for-2 and knocked in Albion's lone run of the first contest. Pinch-hitters Dylan Perry and Kenny Frieswyk also had a hit apiece. Jack Wyman hit a triple.

= In the second game, Riley Stesiak and Wyman both had two hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED, Game 1
= Adrian tied a season high for runs on 11 hits and 11 walks.

= The Bulldogs scored all the runs they would need in the top of the very first inning. The first three batters reached with Wood getting an RBI-single for the first tally. Two outs later, Richardson delivered a two-run single to left field to make it 3-0.

= The Britons scored their lone run in the bottom of the frame. Wyman tripled with two outs before Spilko plated him with a single to center.

= Leading 7-1 already, Adrian blew it wide open with six runs in the fifth keyed by Rainey who had a two-run single to left.

= In the seventh, the Bulldogs scored five times with the bases loaded via a walk or hitbatsmen.

HOW IT HAPPENED, Game 2
= Leading 3-1 after four, Adrian scored in every inning after that to pull away for the seven-run victory.

=Adrian posted a season-high 22 hits, including eight for extra bases (seven doubles, one triple).

= Albion was held to five hits and left nine runners on base.

= Hayes, a double, and Richardson, a single, had consecutive RBIs in the first inning that gave Adrian the lead for good.

= The Britons cut the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom half as Wyman scored on a throwing error.

= Albion answered Adrian with three runs of its own in the eighth, but it was too little too late. The Britons scored on a throwing error and forced home a pair of runs on a hit batter and a walk with the bases loaded.

= Junior Korey Mazur and Rainey capped Adrian's scoring in the ninth with a RBI-double and RBI-single, both to left-center field.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Albion leads the all-time series 103-71, but Adrian has won 36 of the past 43 meetings since 2008.

= Zschering set an Adrian single-game record in Game 1 when he was hit by a pitch four times (and he had two RBI), which is one shy of tying the NCAA Division III mark.

= The 22 hits in Game 2 are the most by the Bulldogs since a school-record (according to available data) 24 versus nationally-ranked North Central College on March 19, 2017.

= Every Bulldog in the Game 2 starting lineup had at least one hit.

= Adrian has recorded double-digit hits in 17 games this spring, raising the team batting average to a season-high .322 over the weekend.

= The Bulldogs' cumulative earned-run average also is the lowest it's been so far at 3.01. Williams tied teammate Tommy Parsons with a MIAA-leading seven wins (both 7-0) and now has a 1.34 ERA--second to Parsons' 1.33.

= Hayes reached the 100-hit milestone in an Adrian uniform on an eighth-inning single in Game 2. He is the 37th Bulldog in history to hit that mark.

UP NEXT
= Adrian begins a four-game weekend series against Trine University at home on Friday (3 p.m. doubleheader) at Nicolay Field. Then on Saturday the teams play in Angola, Ind., for another twinbill starting at 1 p.m.
