Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--The Adrian College women's basketball team kept its postseason hopes alive by winning its fourth-consecutive game after holding off host Calvin, 62-55, in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action on Saturday.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Freshman Rylee Campbell erupted for a career-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers, to pace all scorers and she had four steals.
= Sophomore Rachel Bucher recorded a double-double of 12 points and game-high 12 rebounds. She rounded out her statline with three assists, two blocked shots and two steals.
= Classmate Sha'Trice Graves (5 points) had three blocks, seven rebounds and two assists.
= Junior Emily Somerville chipped in 17 points, five rebounds and a game-high six assists.
THE OPPOSITION
= Kara Minderhoud scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, dish four assists and get two steals off the bench to lead Calvin.
= Stephanie Coors led the team with 10 rebounds.
= Rachel Warners contributed 12 points and six rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian, which led wire-to-wire, held Calvin to a .318 field goal percentage (21-66), took advantage of easy transition baskets (12-0 advantage on fastbreak points) and scored 17 points on 12 Knight turnovers.
= The Bulldogs got off to a fast start, 13-3, on five layups, including a three-point play by Bucher after she made the free throw on the foul with 6 minutes and 39 seconds left in the opening quarter.
= Adrian built a 12-point lead, 26-14, with 4:49 to go in the second quarter.
= The Knights used a 9-0 run the rest of the way to close within 26-23 at the intermission.
= But Adrian responded with another fast start to the third quarter with back-to-back treys from Campbell and Somerville to go up 32-23 at the 9:11 mark.
= The Bulldogs enjoyed another 12-point advantage in the fourth quarter, 56-44 at the 6:49 mark, but kept the Knights at bay the rest of the way.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Adrian avenges a 59-51 loss to the Knights Jan. 3 in Adrian in the first game of 2019.
= The Bulldogs snap a 21-game losing streak to the Knights, who lead the all-time series 91-27. Before today, Adrian's last win against Calvin also happened on the Knights' homecourt back on Feb. 26, 2008 (59-58).
= Adrian's scoring defense during the win streak is a stingy 46.3 points per game.
= In the last two weeks, Adrian was out of the MIAA tournament picture to finding itself in the postseason--if the season ended today. With Kalamazoo at Alma pending tonight, the Bulldogs will be no worse than sixth place in the conference standings. The top-six teams make the 2019 MIAA Tournament.
